Oleg Kravtsov

Began his career as a PADI instructor in 2009 in Sharm El-Sheikh, where he worked for two years. In 2011, he moved to Bali. He has more than 380 completed courses under his belt.

In addition to recreational diving, he is involved in technical dives. He holds IANTD Technical Cave and Normoxic Trimix Diver certifications.

What is the water temperature in Bali?

The water temperature in Bali typically ranges from 27°C to 30°C, making it suitable for diving year-round. During the mola mola season, which typically runs from August until October, the water temperature in certain areas like Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida, can decrease to around 15°C.

Do I need to be certified to dive in Bali?

While certification is not always required for certain introductory dive experiences like the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, it is highly recommended for safety and enjoyment. Certified divers can explore a wider range of dive sites.

When and where is the best time to see mola mola (sunfish) in Bali?

Mola mola (sunfish) sightings are most common in Bali, particularly in Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida, from August to October. Additionally, they can also be spotted in Gili Mimpang and Gili Tepekong in Candidasa from September to October.

Can I dive with manta rays without diving certification?

Many sites where mantas are commonly spotted, such as Manta Point, are in open ocean with big waves and the dive typically begins in a deep place. For safety reasons, we require at least an Open Water Diver certification or equivalent for these dives. However, if you’re interested in diving with mantas and don’t have certification, you can complete the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program in Amed or Tulamben in advance to gain experience and readiness for such dives.

What diving courses are available?

We offer a variety of diving courses to suit all experience levels. From beginner programs like the PADI Open Water Diver course to advanced certifications such as the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and even the first professional level PADI Divemaster. Our offerings also include specialty courses in wreck diving, deep diving, nitrox diving, and underwater photography.

How long does it take to complete a diving course?

The duration of diving courses varies depending on the level of certification. For instance, the PADI Open Water Diver course generally takes three to four days to complete. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course typically spans two days, while specialty courses may be finished in one to two days.

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in a diving course?

Prerequisites vary depending on the course, but most beginner courses require participants to be at least 10 or 12 years old, in good physical health, and comfortable in the water.

Can I complete my certification dives in Bali?

Yes, we offer certification dives as part of their courses, allowing you to complete your training in the island’s stunning underwater environments.

What is Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)?

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is a program designed for individuals who want to try scuba diving for the first time under the direct supervision of a certified dive instructor.

Do I need any prior experience to participate in DSD?

No prior experience is required for the Discover Scuba Diving program. It is suitable for beginners who want to experience the thrill of scuba diving without committing to a full certification course.

How long does a DSD session last?

A Discover Scuba Diving session includes a brief orientation followed by two dives typically lasts between 30 to 50 minutes. In case of good weather conditions a confined water dive and an open water dive will be in the sea. The entire experience usually lasts half a day.
